How positions are determined
For every list and every issue we look for a public source in a fixed order of precedence: official platform, official policy document, Knesset vote, a direct statement by the list's leader, a direct statement by one of its MKs, and only then a media report. The search is carried out with an AI tool (Anthropic's Claude) under the editor's direction, by the same rules for every list; it may not guess. Either there is a verbatim quote with a link and a date, or the cell is recorded as "no documented position" and scored as the midpoint, never inferred from bloc or ideology. Every quote is verified automatically against the live page. Conflicting top-ranked sources yield "partial". Fairness checks run before every publication: each scored list can reach 100% on its own answer path, leads that path, and no two lists share a row.
